Glider accident statistics clearly show the majority of accidents occur during the landing phase. The most common errors made by pilots are pretty easy to figure out and understand. The single most common cause is failure to fly an appropriate, disciplined landing pattern. This is especially true of unusual landings at the home airport: and even more so under the added stress of an off-field landing.
