This paper was published online on 7 January 2008 with incorrect wording in Ref. 29. Ref. 29 should read as "Carbon nanotubes present a different kind of dark state arising from the mixing of K-K' transitions, which are not present in GNRs due to the absence of R_U symmetry." The reference has been corrected as of 14 January 2008. The reference is correct in the printed version of the journal.
