The Association of Marine Scientific Industries (AMSI) is a constituent association of the Society of Maritime Industries (SMI). As a market orientated trade association, AMSI supports more than 40 companies in the marine science and technology sector and is the focus for the oceanographic and marine environment interests of members of the Society of Maritime Industries. The benefits of being a member of a trade association are not always obvious. Financial assistance with overseas trade shows, legal advice and free entry to seminars are tangible. Other benefits such as information supply, networking and political lobbying are equally important and of fundamental importance to business growth.
