摘要

A comprehensive study using finite element analysis (FEA) wasnperformed on 1-D transducer arrays. Crosstalk reduction, subdicingneffects, directivity pattern, and baffle effects were quantifiednnumerically. It was found that the directivity pattern strongly dependsnon the transducer size and kerf filling materials. The FEA isnparticularly powerful in revealing the inhomogeneous nature of thenvibrational characteristics of the transducer surface, which allows morenaccurate beam pattern computation in 3-D. The simulated directivitynpattern also was satisfactorily verified by experimental measurements
