The market for high-end active noise reduction headsets has another player, longtime commercial and high-end consumer audio manufacturer AKG, which entered the fray with an impressive new model, the AV100. Priced at $1,099, the new headset is aimed at the high end of the light GA market currently dominated by Bose with its A20 and Lightspeed with its Zulu.2. The AKG really is something different, as you can see by looking at the photo here. The earcups are contoured, giving the AV100 a different look, and they are positioned at a jaunty angle to give them a whole different feel.
