In the three-quarters of a century since the attack, there has been much controversy about the actual routes flown and the aerial mix of each of the two attack waves. Pearl Harbor historian David Aiken has, through Interviews with pilots from both sides as well as witnesses on the ground and researching the Kodochosho (combat reports), fine-tuned the information that Is represented on this map, making It the most accurate to date.
