摘要

The architect developed a cost-effective, sustainable design that allows the facility to meet the needs of first responders and the general public; the facility is a beacon in this small, rural, desert community. The masonry is manufactured 5 miles from the site. Many sustainable design strategies, such as natural daylighting, operable windows, pervious pavers, 75-kW solar PV, solar hot water, added insulation, are included.
