摘要

Zircon is one of the mineral chronometers in geological sciences because of its specific crystallochemi-cal properties and high mechanical stability. However, these zircon properties lead to significant difficulties in interpretation of the ages obtained especially for rocks of ancient polymetamorphic complexes which are, in particular, widely abundant in Eastern Antarctica. The study of the character of the REE distribution in it is an effective approach to correct interpretation of zircon origin.
