Paleoproterozoic Gold-Bearing Copper Deposits and Occurrences of the Karelian Craton

Modern estimations of original complex deposits demonstrate that hydrothermal copper ores, namely copper-porphyry, cupreous sandstones, and copper-and pyrite-polymetallic, provide one of the perspective sources of gold.rnGold-bearing hydrothermal copper sulfide ores in the Paleoproterozoic formations of the Karelian Craton form small ore objects of hydrothermal genesis, often located in Jatulian (by the regional scale) volca-nogenic-sedimentary deposits with an age of 2.3-2.1 Ga.
