摘要

We suggest a new thermodynamic equation of state describing the internal physics of the Earth. The internal energy caused by pure gravity radial shear deformations is calculated in the spherical approximation. Our estimates show that these deformations lead to the maximum contribution to the internal energy. We obtained a general equation of state for a massive solid object based on the general thermodynamic principles and found the radial distribution of pressure, which makes it possible to estimate some thermodynamic parameters characteristic of individual (radial) layers of the Earth.
