Urban Fabric Study of Mixed Industrial and Dwelling Neighborhoods in the Fringes of the Sub-Urban Area of Large Japanese Cities: GIS Analysis of the Impact of Historical Urban Growth and Urban Shrinking in the city of Daito in the Osaka Region

Whereas the center of the Japanese cities pursue itsinfinite transformation in accord to the society changes,the fringes of the larges agglomerations where the citystopped to grow are displaying a wide array of urbanfeatures that are coming from various era of urbanplanning and seems to be frosen in time side by side. Formnow on we will extend our analysis to the various urbandevelopment project presented in the present paper andtry to find the underlying logic that is binding those urbanforms together.We strongly belive that the analysis of the dynamictransformation of the city during history is one way toobtain if not solutions, hints to the future of the Japanesesuburban cities.
