Foram testadas seis estratégias de uso deagroquímicos no controle da mosca branca, Bemisiaargentifolii Bellows e Perring (Hemiptera:Aleyrodidae), em tomate industrial irrigado produzidoem Petrolina - PE e Juazeiro - BA (Brasil). Osagroquímicos foram aplicados isoladamente ou emmistura de tanque, sendo utilizados os híbridos detomate industrial Heinz-2710 suscetível e Gem Prideresistente a geminivírus. A média de ovos, ninfas eadultos da mosca branca foi utilizada como parametrona avalia??o do efeito de seis estratégias, sendo umautilizada pelo produtor (1), quatro sugeridas pelapesquisa (2, 3, 4 e 5) e uma recomendada pelaindústria (6). Efetuaram-se nove amostragenssemanais no período de 21 dias após o transplantiodas mudas até 77 dias. A eficácia das estratégiasvariou entre os híbridos de tomate em rela??o à médiade ovos, ninfas e adultos da mosca branca, sendo ohíbrido Gem Pride menos infestado. As estratégias2 e 6 foram as mais eficazes para ovos, as 2, 3 e 4para ninfas e as estratégias 1 e 4 para adultos emrela??o ao híbrido Heinz-2710. Quanto ao Gem Pride,os melhores resultados foram obtidos com aestratégia 2 para ovos e ninfas, n?o sendo verificadadiferen?a significativa entre as avalia??es paraadultos. As estratégias (2, 3 e 4) sugeridas pelapesquisa destacaram-se no controle da infesta??ode ovos, ninfas e adultos da mosca branca, emrela??o às demais. USE OF AGROCHEMICALS STRATEGIES TO CONTROL EGGS, NYMPHS AND ADULTS OF Bemisia argentifoliiBellows e Perring (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae), ON TOMATO CROPS IN THE SAN FRANCISCO RIVER VALLEY Abstract Six strategies of agrochemicals use were tested in the control of whitefly, Bemisia argentifolii Bellows e Perring(Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae), in irrigated industrial tomato, produced in Petrolina-PE and Juazeiro-BA (Brazil). The agrochemicalswere applied isolated or in tank mixture, being utilized the hybrids of indistrial tomato Heinz-2710 susceptible and GemPride resistent to geminivirus. The average of whitefly eggs, nymphs and adults were used as parameters for theevaluation of the strategy effects utilized by the producer (1), suggested by research (2, 3, 4, and 5) and recommendedby the industry (6). Nine samplings were made weekly within a period of 21 up to 77 days, right after seedlingstransplantation. The effectiveness of the strategies varied among the tomato hybrids in relation to the average of whiteflyeggs, nymphs and adults, being Gem Pride hybrids less infested. The strategies 2 and 6 were those most effectiveagainst eggs, the 2, 3 and 4 for nymphs and 1 and 4 for adults in relation to the hybrid Heinz-2710. Regarding to Gem Pride,the best results were obtained with the strategy 2 for eggs and nymphs, and no significant difference was verifiedbetween the evaluations for adults. The strategies (2, 3 and 4) sugested by research have stood out to the control ofwhitefly eggs, nymphs and adults infestation as compared to the others.
