Description of a new mountain skink endemic from Cameroon (Lacertilia: Mabuya mekuana)

Recent herpetological prospections on Mounts Bamboutos, along the Cameroon vol- canic ridge, have allowed the collection of several reptiles among which an unknown species referred to the genus Mabuya. This species is superficially similar to Mabuya megalura, an orophilic East African endemic species. We describe it as a new species, Mabuya mekuana, and give a determination key for the adult of the eight species of the genus Mabuya from Cameroon.
