Description of a new skink of the Central African Republic (Lacertilia: Mabuya pendeana)

Important recent herpetological prospections on the whole Central African Republic allowed the collection of nearly 6000 reptiles, all; deposited in the Paris Natural History Museum collections, including several species referable to the genus Mabuya and new for Science. One of these, originating from the Pende area, at the northwestern edge of the Country, slightly resembles the syntopic Mabuya quinquetaeniata scharica and Mabuya Sulcata of South Africa.
