Some of our readers with a shared interest in full-size EAA kit airplanes are probably familiar with the name Sonex. Go back far enough in the company's lineage and you'll remember them as Monnett Aircraft, producing airplanes such as the Sonerai, Onex, and Xenos. All were great all-metal designs that could be built by the average enthusiast. The latest of the line is called the SubSonex JSX-2, which started life as the company's proven, prop-driven Sonex with the addition of a really neat Czech Republic-built PBS TJ 100 turbine for power.
