AMVETS National Commander Gary Fry announced in September the selection of seven new AMVETS Career Center locations from California to Maryland. More than a decade ago, the AMVETS Department of Ohio launched AMVETS Career Centers to assist transitioning Ohio veterans in their preparation and search for full-time, permanent employment. More than 60 centers are in operation today. Earlier this year, Activision Blizzard's Call of Duty Endowment awarded a $100,000 grant to expand the Ohio program and create new AMVETS Career Centers across the country.
