Chad Spartan Flying

Alenia C-27J Spartan 1401/TT-PAG is the first of two for the Force Aerienne Tchadienne (Chad Air Force). The tactical transport is seen during a test flight at Turin-Caselle in Italy on January 16, with its Italian military test registration, CSX62292. The aircraft wears the same scheme that was applied to Spartans delivered to the Royal Moroccan Air Force. Chad ordered two C-27Js in 2013 and was expected to receive the first by the end of that year (see Spartans for Chad Soon, December 2013, p26). The original timetable was delayed briefly, as delivery is now anticipated in the first quarter of 2014.
