This paper introduced the types of traditional temple,from education,public activities,social culture,social service functions ana-lyzed the relationship of traditional temples and ancient city,and discussed the temple survive problems in modern city,think the positioning of temples and urban positioning in modern life,had positive effects on the inheritance of traditional culture in modern urban development.%介绍了传统寺庙的类型，从教化、公共活动、社会文化、社会服务功能角度分析了传统寺庙与古代城市的关系，并探讨了现代城市中寺庙生存的问题，对现代生活中寺庙与城市关系的定位作了思考，对传统文化在现代城市发展中的传承具有积极作用。
