Chinglish grammar is one of the major barriers for English learners from China. Explicit Chinglish grammar concerns the most frequently-seen grammatical errors regarding language form; while implicit Chinglish grammar, always overlooked by learners, refers to the structural misuse that can lead to the semantic deviation. This paper takes the grammatical structures of some English lexical categories as example in an attempt to explain the root cause of the generation of implicit and explicit Chinglish grammar. In view of the sharp differences between Chinese and English grammatical system, the English teaching in China needs to help develop learners' grammar awareness as early as possible via the input of grammatical knowledge chunks with Chinese grammar as reference in background, which is helpful to improve learners' ability to recognize the negative interference from their mother tongue and grasp the true grammatical features of English.%中式英语语法是中国人学习英语的主要障碍.显性中式英语语法属于常见的语法形式错误,而隐性中式英语语法属于语法结构的错用,会导致语义表达的偏离,这类现象不易被学习者所察觉.本文以英语词类的相关语法结构为例,试图说明显性和隐性中式英语语法产生的深层原因.由于中国英语学习者的母语和英语的语法体系差别显著,因此我国的英语教学需要尽早培养学习者的语法意识,注重语法知识的模块化,突出汉语知识的背景地位,这将利于学习者识别母语的干扰,真正掌握英语的语法特征.
