FPGA在PC-104系统I/O设备扩展中的应用

         

摘要

PC-104作为系统的核心单元,不仅需要处理大量I/O设备的数据,而且必须确保系统具备良好的实时性.使用FPGA作为协处理器连接各功能模块和PC-104,可分担PC-104的部分工作,从而保证系统的实时性.FPGA作为连接上下的桥梁,担负着数据采集、数据交换等承上启下的工作.该文针对FPGA与PC-104间的数据交换,提出一种根据PC104总线数据传输时序的特性而设计的方案.在搭建的硬件平台上实现了两者间的数据交换,测试结果验证了该方案的可行性.%As the core module of the system, PC -104 has to deal with a large amount of data from other I/O devices and ensures the system' s good real - time performance. Using FPGA as coprocessor to connect each function modules and the PC -104, can share part of work of the PC -104, thereby ensuring the real - time quality of the system. As a bridge between function modules and PC -104, FPGA is responsible for data acquisition, data exchange and other connecting work. Aiming at the data exchange between FPGA and PC - 104, this paper introduces a scheme, which is designed according to the characteristics of the PC - 104 bus data transmission timing. The test result about data exchange in the hardware platform proves the feasibility of this scheme.
