＜正＞ INTRODUCTION. Triptophenolide methyl ether C21tH26O3 isolated from the Chinese medicinal herb Tripterygium Wilfordii Hook.f. is an anticancer drug with a novel structure. Tests showed that it has a strong inhibitory effect against certain cancers and leukemia and has thus attracted much attention in medical circles. It is considered to be a promising anticancer drug. Apparently our present investigations relative to the structure and its function hsve a certain theoretical and practical significance.
