＜正＞ Listening comprehension as a course is offered to studentsat all colleges and universities in China. But what is theultimate target of listening comprehension training and what isgoing on with the teachers and students in the classroom? Theseare questions that deserve careful and serious consideration. Awidespread phenomenon is that the teacher, in a listeningcomprehension class, just simply interprets the new words,replays the material and reads the correct answers to thequestions listed in the textbook while students have to listen
