Applications of New Insulator Technologies on Circuit Breaker Bushings: An OEM's Perspective

The new insulator technology has been successfully applied to power circuit breaker bushings and has been received by North American utilities with rapid acceptance and is used in increasing numbers of applications. As the technology continues to mature, new and improved products are being developed to further expand the applications and benefits of silicone rubber composite bushings.
