The purpose of the study was to identify the factors associated with discontinuance of adoption of improved cassava production technologies in Benue State. The study was conducted in six blocks of the three zones of the Benue State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (BNARDA) simple random sampling method was used to select a sample of 150 respondents. Percentages, frequencies and rank ordering were used to analyze the data. Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between selected independent variables and levels of discontinuance. The investigation revealed that all the technologies introduced in the farming communities were adapted to varying degrees by most of the farmers. Some of the technologies were later discontinued for various reasons such as lack of funds, lack of inputs, high cost of inputs, tediousness of operations and complexity of some of the technologies.
