摘要

This paper is concerned with the subject ofrnperformance measurement and benchmarking in DatarnWarehouses. We aim to clarify the issues surrounding thernconcept of performance measurement in Data Warehousesrnby examining and discussing the general themes ofrnbenchmarking, performance, and current industryrnstandards. Data Warehouse performance measurementrninto two areas: objective measures and subjectivernmeasures. We conclude by providing specific guidelinesrnfor benchmarking a data warehouse project.
