Physicians are faced with ever increasing quantities ofrninformation. Providing easy access to relevant medicalrninformation will improve the quality of care received byrnpatients. Current medical agent programs serve as eitherrnexpert systems or simple search engines. This articlernproposes a new agent-based methodology for improvingrnmedical information retrieval via the world-wide-web.
