摘要

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), the most widely used thermoplastic resin to manufacture a wide variety of hard products, is produced via the polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM). VCM is manufactured mainly through acetylene hydrochlorination over the industrial catalyst of mercury chloride in China. However mercury chloride is highly toxic and harmful to human health and the environment. Therefore, it is essential to explore efficient non-mercury catalyst for acetylene hydrochlorination.
