Analysis on strengthening the press supervision of administrative accountability in China

As the administrative accountability system has been initially established in China, the news media are increasingly concerned about the reasonability and legality of the government officials' behaviors and also the performance of government officials' duties. It is precisely because that the media dare to face the problem existed and disclose the issues emerged, so it causes widespread concern of the regulatory authorities and the whole society, which in turn speeds up the progress of solving problems and strengthens the relevant officials' accountability for the public. Through investigating the administrative accountability issues in recent years, the thesis draws the conclusion that press supervision is quite important for the administrative accountability of the government officials. Then, it also explores the problems existing in the implementation of the administrative accountability in media. Finally, this thesis also puts forward some countermeasures to strengthen the administrative accountability in media from the following aspects: government departments, other supervisory authorities, political culture, and improves the efficiency of implementing the administrative accountability by the media.
