On China's Energy Saving and Emission Reduction and International Law Analysis about Global Climate Change

World climate change is becoming increasingly evident. To curb its rapid development, the international community led by the UN has made international legal documents to ensure the implementation of the international negotiations results. These documents include the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Kyoto Protocol and other international environmental legal documents. Development and implementation of these international conventions reflect the basic principles and spirit of the UN Charter. They are essentially consistent with the basic spirit andprinciples of international law and should be conscientiously implemented by theparties to the conventions. As the participant and victim of climate change, China also is one of the parties to some international environmental legal documents, such as the UNFCCC. China's energy saving, emission reduction and clean production reflect her dual objectives about sustainable development and efforts on international legal obligations.
