Curative hepatectomy in advanced cases of extensive liver lesions, cyst- or tumor-like masses difficult to diagnose and treat

Summary: Echinococcoses are the zoonotic diseases of public health importance because of difficult, usually late diagnosis, uncertain results of treatment and poor prognosis in untreated patients. In man, the liver is the most often infected. The severe cases of diagnosed or suspected cystic and alveolar echinococcoses from polish patients are here presented in which the curative hepatectomy has been performed.
