摘要

Rail, as an important component in the track structure of heavy-haul railway line, is subject to higher requirement of yield strength, tensile strength, wear-resisting, anti-fatigue and easy-welding property.Based on the fact that rail may crack and fracture as a result of abrasion and repeated action from wheel of heavily-loaded train, the paper, therefore, sets forth the main characteristics of rail damages and proposes technical measures for prolonging rail service life.It also brings forward proposals for the future development of heavy-haul transportation with 25~35 t axle weight trains.
