摘要

The goal of this study was to develop and validate a simplified finite element analysis (FEA) model for a glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP) wind turbine blade. A 3D virtual model of the blade was built up in ANSYS Workbench software with corresponding load cases and boundary conditions. Data for the FEA was obtained from tensile tests of GFRP laminates. Experimental validation of the virtual model was performed on manufactured blade subject via bending tests and modal analysis.
