Results from a reflection seismic land streamer survey is presented together with a description of the land streamer setup, processing sequence, and the geological interpretation. Groundwater mapping is a prioritized subject in Denmark and reflection seismic is an important tool within this work. The presented case is from a project performed in south east Denmark, in an area that is especially well suited for shallow reflection seismic. The main purpose of the investigation was to provide a detailed geological model of the area and to map possible fault systems that could cause salt groundwater to enter the main aquifers, as basis for improving the map of groundwater resources, for the Danish Nature Agency. High data quality was achieved and the results proved to be valuable input for the geological model of the area, and no major faults were interpreted to intersect-the main ground water aquifers.
