摘要

Previous work in our lab (VTR) show that EGFR is phosphorylated after injury and nucleotide stimulation, despite the absence of EGF in wound media immediately after injury [Boucher et al. 2007]. We have further proved that P2Y (GPCR) receptors and EGFR crosstalk after injury or nucleotide stimulation [Boucher et al. 2007]. Understanding the post-translational modification of EGFR and how it might affect the affinity of the binding proteins that mediate the downstream signaling cascade after injury is therefore of great interest.
