The evolution of texture during the static recrystallization of three cold rolled binary Mg-Yalloys was characterised using electron backscattered diffraction (EBSD). It had been shown inprevious studies that alloys that contain yttrium can develop more random texture, during thermo-mechanical processing and this can reduce or eliminate the yield asymmetry common to wroughtmagnesium alloy.
