The effect of cold rolled reduction, range from 52.4 % to 67 %, and annealingtemperature from 1025 - 1100 °C on the annealing texture and plastic strain ratio of 2205 duplexstainless steel have been studied. The predominant 6 phase texture components in cold rolled state were {001}<11 0> and {111 }<1 12>. Both texture intensities increased with increasing coldrolled reduction and reached a maximum value at cold rolled reduction 61.9% and then becamelevel off. The predominant y phase texture components in cold rolled state were {011 }<31 1>and {112}<1 11>. The intensity of {011}<311> increased with increasing cold rolled reduction. After cold rolled sheet annealing, the predominant 6 phase texture components were{001}<1 10>, {011 } <0 1 1>, and { 111 } <1 12>. The intensity of {001 } <1 10> increased withincreasing cold rolled reduction. The effect of temperature on texture was not obvious. Thepredominant y phase texture components after annealing were {011} <3 1 1> and {113}<33
