EQUINE ZOONOTIC DISEASES THE VETERINARY SETTING

Zoonotic diseases have received renewed attention in human and veterinary medicine over the last several years as infectious disease control (IDC) has advanced; there is heightened awareness of methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), salmonellosis, and other infectious diseases that can act as nosocomial both and zoonotic pathogens. This review will focus on zoonotic diseases of horses.
