The subject of pet food selection has always been a wide field with many opinions. Many pet owners feel that they can understand nutrition better than other fields in veterinary medicine.They may also feel that this is one aspect of their pet's healththey can control. Because of this, many pet owners conduct internet research on nutrition information and often find information that is incorrect, misleading, or raises additional questions or creates confusion. This lecture will discuss some common misconceptions regarding pet food ingredients as well as areas of confusion that may arise when comparing pet food products.
