In order to study the inheritance of resistance to powdery mildew, crosses were made between one susceptible T. durum varieties from Iran and two resistant accessions of T. dicoccoides. The seedlings of F_2, reciprocal BC_1, F_3 progenies and their parents were inoculated with isolate Nor.2 of Erysiphe graminis f.sp. tritici at first leaf and spike emergence stages. The Chi-square tests revealed that the resistance in the T. dicoccoides accessions is controlled by one partially dominant gene, which is defferent from Pml6, which was derived from T. dicoccoides.
