Mensuration of the Activation Time for the Mechanochemistry Leaching Process During High Energy Ball Milling

During high energy ball milling, mechanochemistry activation will affect the chalcopyrite leaching process, which is studied in the paper, the optimal mechanochemistry activation time is mensurated. In the galvanic cell, the cathode is the mechanochemistry activated chalcopyrite, and the anode is the normal chalcopyrite, the maximum potential difference is used as a criterion of mineral energy storage, the maximum potential difference is mensurated at different mechanochemistry activation time, then, the optimal mechanochemistry activation time of chalcopyrite is determined. This is validated by the chalcopyrite mechanochemistry leaching test. The relationship between the activation time and the ratio of leaching is educed in the chalcopyrite mechanochemistry leaching test, according to this, the optimal activation time of chalcopyrite is determined. It is proved that the optimal activation time, which is mensurated either by mechanochemistry leaching test or by the maximum potential difference, are same, i.e. the optimal activation time can be determined by the activated mineral's maximum potential difference.
