摘要

High-thermal conductivity composite made of expanded graphite and magnesium hydroxide was developed for augmentation of heat storage performance in a packed bed for chemical heat storage. The composite was compacted in a figure of cylindrical block fitting with the reactor's size. The effect of high thermal conductivity on heat storage performance was investigated experimentally. The composite's performance was compared with the one measured for a packed bed of pure magnesium hydroxide pellets. It was concluded that the heat storage performance was enhanced by the larger thermal conductivity of the composite and larger amount of magnesium hydroxide included in the packed bed.
