Appearance of Insert and Button Complex-Type Rock Drilling Tools in China

摘要

There are two series of rock drilling bits available in China and abroad, which are of insert type and button type. Each of them has advantages and disadvantages. A new generation of rock drilling tools named the " Flying Dragon " insert and button complex-type bits (Chinese patent No 96203054.6), which combines the advantages of the available tools, has been invented by the authors recently. They are much superior to the traditional products in drilling speed, service life, production cost and utilization ratio of sintered carbide, and have become increasingly popular in China. It is certain that this kind of bits will contribute greatly to the development of excavation industry.
