摘要

The acid insoluble residue of rock pulps from deeply weathered terrain around the Jim's Find South gold prospect consists largely of quartz, with some minor sericite and feldspar. Original wall rock alteration patterns around the mineralisation can be observed and is characterised by increased Rb/Al and ratios. Arsenic values flare up from the mineralisation towards the surface. Ti/Zr ratios of the residue is of use to delineate original basalt flows between sandstones. The composition of the raw rock pulps indicate strong leaching of Na, Ca and Sr, the retention of Si, Al, Fe, Mn and Co, and the near surface concentration of Zr, Hf and Ti.
