摘要

The already Published two dimensional model is developed to three dimensions to estimate current efficiency of the Aluminium Cell.The transfer rate of aluminium from cathode to anode is estimated as a result of diffusion and mass transfer under velocity field.The mixing differential equation in the homogeneous conditions is solved numerically with suitable boundary conditions at Al / electrolyte and electrolyte / anode interfaces.The diffusion coefficient of aluminium in the electrolyte is taken as 1~*10~~-8 m/s~2 and the maximum solubility of aluminium in electrolyte as 0.03 wt./wt.
