Fuel and ethylene time histories, overall fuel decomposition rates, and ethylene yields were measured during the high-temperature (990 - 1520 K) decomposition of n-dodecane, methylcyclohexane, and 2,2,4,4,6,8,8-heptamethylnonane in a heated high-pressure shock tube. Fuel measurements were made using IR HeNe laser absorption at 3.39 μm and ethylene measurements were made using CO_2 gas laser absorption near 10.5 μm Initial fuel mole fractions ranged from 0.1 to 0.2% fuel in argon and pressures from 17 to 23 atm.
