Shock wave propagation through reacting fuel air mixture in unconfiend condition was discussed and investigated in the field test. The piezoelectric gauges were employed to measure the shock wave depressed process and digital camera was used to monitor the fuel air combustion. Compared with available data of shock wave propagation in the air, it showed that the shock wave depressed slower in the reacting fuel air mixture than that in the normal air. Examples of typical pressure profile are shown. It recommends that the safety distance should be carefully considered if the situation related to the above topic is possible.
