This paper puts forward a new method for fire risk assessment in LPG plants. By means of Hierarchy Analysis, the main factors that influence the fire risk at LPG plants have been assessed under the consideration of the fire hazards in specific processes of LPG production. A proposed "standard plant" that complies with all the aspects of the relevant Chinese Fire Safety Codes is introduced to comparing the fire risk at real LPG plants. Finally, the weight ratios of main factors and the order of fire risk for hte concerned plants are given with the help of the new assessing method.
