The characteristics of pressure fluctuations in a 70mm dia air-flu-idized bed of glass beads has been investigated in the frequency range 0 to 5 H_z- The causes of the fluctuations are explored. and the propagation behaviour of pressure waves are observed. For pulsed fluidized beds with continuous gas flow, the effect of the intensity of pulsation on pressure fluctuations is also examined.
