The impact on speech quality of combining terrestrial satellite mobile systems

Many different factors effect the speech quality perceived by the customer. This paper discusses these parameters and how they can be apportioned to achieve a balance between the needs of network operators and vendors alike. The paper also shows how using common technologies will enable terrestrial and satellite systems to converge with a common terminal.
