摘要

Particulate matter (PM) often consists of a complex mixture of chemical consituents depdnding upon its source. The ambient air measurement of PM is unique in that it is characterized by both its physical properties and the measurement method itself. Since PM can contain a singificant fraction of light volatile substances (e.g. water, aromatic hydrocarbons, secondary aerosols, organic crarbon), however, it is also crucial to carefully define the physical conditions under which PM is bont smapled and measured.
